how can i access the startup file from PDT.

thanks.

no i am trying to locate the file startup and type command in the file but i don't know how how type the command in the file

this is wat i am trying to type

1 Locate the start up file named /p/startup
2 Type the following command the file at the end (where nnn = the
payload type value)
setRFC2833PT 102 <enter>

You could use X-Modem to download, then edit on your local PC, then upload. I would also be cautious about using Windows Notepad - I use Ultra-Edit

It might also be worth seeing if anyone else has a comment on that before trying it. I don't know all the things that could go wrong.

hi

these steps were mentioned in Nortel NTPS to change the payload value of RFC2833 for DTMF on SIP trunk to be compateple wiht CCM.

the problem if i cahnge it from the PDT by using setRFC2833 it will work but after i reboot the system it will go the default payload.

these steps as per Nortel NTPs

1 Locate the start up file named /p/startup
2 Type the following command the file at the end (where nnn = the
payload type value)
setRFC2833PT 102 <enter>
3 INI (or coldstart) the Call Server.
4 During INI, press CTRL+B when prompted, then press c to change
the parameters. Press <enter> until the start up scripts prompt
displays.
5 Type /p/startup <enter>. Continue to press <enter> until the end.
6 Press @ <enter> to continue to reboot.

thanks.
