Hello all.
I have changed our small business network of two servers and 25 users from public IP address to private IP addresses of the 192.168.208.x variety, and now route everyone to an external address for internet access. I have enabled a passthrough for email as well to allow people to email us. We have Win98, 2000, & XP on the computers and 2000 server with exchange 5.5 connected to with Outlook.
This is all set up and about 20 people can connect to exchange and get their email, but I have about 5 people that still cannot. They can get to the internet and have access to the network drive so it is not a connection issue. I get the error, MS exchange server is unavailable then TRY AGAIN WORK OFFLINE If you try again it still doesn't work.
Is there a setting that I would need to change in exchange to tell it that it's address went from 64.219.208.1 to 192.168.208.1???
Also the problem seems to be mostly on the win98 computers, although some of them have email access. Is there a setting specific to Win98??
thanks.
