On a CS1000 (Release 6) system, is there any way to change the TN type for a prorammed set? We're upgrading our 3904 digital sets to 1140 IP sets, and it would be nice to copy most of the programming from a person's 3904 set to their 1140 set, without building the new set from scratch; that way all the various keys, autodials, class of service, etc. would be preserved.

I was thinking I had seen references to a command that would let me do that, but haven't been able to find it now that I want to do it. Maybe I just dreamt it in the first place!

Thanks,
Matt

I don't believe that is possible, the 3904 would be built on a digital line card and the IP would be built on a virtual TN

Thanks,

Buddy

you can chg set type IP to IP, but not otherwise.

No way of automatically doing that and Buddy is correct, the TN would change as well.

Thanks all. I knew the TN would change (was thinking we'd copy the 3904 to the virtual TN, then change the copy).

Found the CHGTYP command for changing an IP set to a different IP model.

Looks like we've got some work to do, so I guess we'll get busy!

Thanks again,
Matt

out and rebuild with a procomm script, takes no time at all to change many sets!
