you jsut need to covertyour datatypes.i seem to remember that your problem will be with the table which holds the documents. The best way to get around this is to import all documents create an empty doucment domain on oracle and export all documents, the rest of the repository is ok to convert.

Whenever the BusinessObjects repository is transferred, it involves not only changing the connection that BusinessObjects has with your database, but also changing the internal sub-connections that exist within the repository between the Security, Universe, and Document domains.
This modification can only be performed when the server will be used with a database which is of the same brand as the previous database. For example, Oracle to Oracle or Sybase to Sybase. Business Objects does not support any other manual manipulation of repository tables!
The Safe Recovery operation is described in detail in the Supervisor's Guide for BusinessObjects (found on the BusinessObjects CD: "/ Manuals / English / Supervisor50EN.pdf." fot BO 5.x).
The Safe Recovery operation involves re-building the BOMain.key. If the BOMain.key is shared by many clients, you will need to re-distribute the file after moving the Repository.
The main steps for this procedure include:
1. Create a database dump file and install it on the new server.
2. Perform a Safe Recovery (see above notes).
3. Login to the Supervisor Module.
4. Go to the Tools menu and select 'Repository.'
5. Select the Universe domain and click 'Modify'
6. Using the Domain Modification Wizard, setup the network layer to point to the location of the new Universe domain tables.
7. Test the new connections to each domain with the Test button.
8. Repeat steps 4-6 for each domain as necessary. (For example, if your Document domain exists on a different server, you will need to update the connection via the network layer.
