Hi all.
We have an IP OFFICE 500 running v8.
I was trying to figure out if there was a way to change the file names of the wavs that are left for recordings or voicemails without actually going to the files on the server and renaming them manually.

Example is vmpro creates a 32 random character wav file in the users vmail folder on the server. I'd like it to create a logical file name like Extn.Date.Time.wav I.e.. 10240.080615.903.wav, is there a setting that allows this or have any of you gurus created a vbs script to accomplish this?

Thank you kindly

No.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Well thank you.
I was able to write a small .net program to detect the files and rename them.
I can't access them via the phone, but that was never my goal, only to easily identify them when the auditors wanted to hear them

Use Chronicall and add the recordings module. All recordings are linked to the call, and you can search for specific users/dates/Caller ID to find a recording quickly and easily. I have a few people doing this now.
