We need to change the administrator password. Is their any unforeseen problem that are going to come up?

Biggest thing to look at is your services.
If they all log in as service, you should be ok. The occasional time you have to log a service in as administrator.

Other than that, don't lose the password.

What would be the best way to check how all the services on a server are logging on, other then obvious way Services>properties>log on?

Thank you, Scruby

yep... don't think anything else should interfere with a changed admin password. Sometimes you gotta go by the seat of your pants. Change the password, reboot and check the event for any errors.

Good luck with it.

If I remember right, in NT4 you have to make sure you are logged off each server for the password to change. I assume this may also be the case for 2000

I don't believe that is true with W2K and active directory.
