Hi,

How can I set the registry file so that when I use that ODBC file I don't have to put in my password every time I try to access some data.

My ODBC driver is for Oracle version 8.00.05

I know that for the UserID I have to use the following syntax: UserID= "MyLoginName"

I don't know how to set the password, can you help me?

Thanks in advance,

Wilson

Not sure about Oracle but SQL server 7 has a box that you can check called"Save Password" its after you open the DSN.

You have to give the password the first time. When it shows a list of tables, Dialog box heading is "Link Tables" there is a check box in the lower right hand corner called Save Password. Putting a check in there will eliminate the need to key it in every time there after.

Did you ever resolve this issue - this is exactly what I want to do. Don't want to have to enter password every time a compiled Crystal Report is run.?

Cheers,

M
