I have a field in a table that has 2 and 3 words in, is there a way of changing the spaces into "+".

Thanks

Grant

Hi,

If you are using access 2002, you can use the Replace function in an update query to replace a space with a + symbol.
If you are using an older version of Access, I have written a version of the Replace function which is available in the Tek-Tips database from my website on the downloads page.

thanks john

I am using 2002 version but cant see how i would update query to replace a value.
When i tried it replaced the whole field to "+" is there a way of restricting the update to just the "space".
