Change phone type

I have a phone set taht is setup for Model 2008 and I need to put a 2006 in its place what is the easiest way to change it. When I plug in the 2006 all the lights come on and stay on.

Can chg with 5.0, not any lower release. out, rebuild as 2006.

but that may be a bad set, lamps should not stay lit. it should get dialtone at least

this phone is in our waiting room and we don't want it to show name of the person dialed. Is ther a way to stop the 2008 from showing the name dialed.

Can also use NAMD. Name Display on other set denied.
However this blocks the name display for the set not just the local.
