Change of fiscal calendar 1

Hello forum

Client is on Sage 300 ERP 6.0. Their current fiscal calendar runs from 1/4/2014 to 31/3/2015 (2015 year). It is now year-end time, and they want to change fiscal calendar to 1/1/2015 to 31/12/2015 (2015 year). Recommendations, anyone?

Create a new company with the new year end, export GL transactions, assign new year/period and import into new company. Or just import beginning balances if GL history is not important.
