I have to change MO ( magneto optical ) disk for back up. What type of MO disk I can use? What capacity must disk be? Must disk be formatted or no and how I can format disk if I need ?

For the intuity version 5 Avaya recommends the Fujitsu 2.3GB Optical disks. Part number CA90002-C031

Oh, and they come unformatted, and you need to login with the sa login to format the disk before performing a backup. Its under customer service admin/backup/format optical disk.

First off, what type of system? You didn't mention it. If it’s a Legacy Definity G3r, you're out of luck if you want to go to Staples and buy them. Avaya, Lucent at the time, only had one release that a customer could format their own MO Discs if I'm correct. Might have been somewhere around v7 or v8, but I'm not sure. You'll have to get the MO Disc from Avaya or a Distributor for your load of Definity. If it is an Intuity, the great, buy the same size that you have because the MO drives work with the capacity of that drive and lower. For instance, the 1.3 Gig MO Drive can also use the 640s, I believe. I might be wrong. I've never tried a smaller capacity disc before though. The customer always had extra MO Disc they got when they bought the Intuity.
