Someone please help me out. I am Installing a new Intuity LX voice mail system at one of our sites, and when I type the change machine command, the machine hangs for a while and then comes back with a "system error message". I have tried rebooting the machine and doing a cold boot as well, with only no luck.

Thank you for your help!!

is this an R2 Intuity?

Have you changed the name in tcp/ip admin? If so try leaving this as default

I think there is an issue with write access to the hostfile on the new LXs

definityandcmuk,
Thank you for your replay. I deleted the configuration I alreaduy had in the TCP/IP file and the comand worked before I could blink.

Thank you man, you saved my day.

I have the same problem here, but i can fix it. What did you do to solve the problem.

many thanks for your help.
