Hi There! I am using Crystal reports XI - Does anyone know if and how you change the labels on legends on charts & graphs? I can't seem to figure it out!
Can you be more specific about what you want to change? And what you want to change it to? There is the x-axis label, e.g., Customer ID, and then there are individual values of Customer ID, for example. And are you hoping to change the formatting or what?
In charting terminology it's called "legends", and it is the little list of text items that describes which chart object plots each type of data. In my case, the ledgends look like this:
Sum of @CountRegularOrders (followed by a red box)
Sum of @CountSpecialORders (followed by a blue box)
...etc.
Naturally the @count... fields are the names of the formulas I'm graphing. I'd like to be able to change that label to something more like English, like you can the field name in the corresponding report, however it appears that in CR, all you can do is format the font. Unless I'm missing something...
Thank you for your interest in our problem!
I think the best you can do is a workaround. Insert a text box over the legend text, type in the text to display, and then change the background of the text box to white (assuming your legend background is white).
