do you recommend it or not on windows systems?
Im using it on some systems but I do not see any bigger advantages or disadvantages?

Change journal can help a lot in situations where it is hard to figure out which files have changed. I remember there were tables about the details in the Admin Guide.

Just keep in mind that CJ ONLY can work if you backup the whole partition(s) in the client's save set list.

We had problem with size of incremental backup on some servers. There was full backup on Friday, no backups on weekend and incremental backups during rest of the week. On every Monday size of incremental backup was almost the same as size of full backup - eg. full backup had 1.3 GB, incremental backup had 130 MB, but incremental backup on Monday had 1.1 GB.

After disabling Change Journal, problem disappeared.

If the change journal is disabled, what mechanism is used to determine what files have changed for the incremental backups?
