I was just wondering if anyone has changed the IP address of their single 2003 Exchange Server.
I am readdressing the whole network, so I will need to readdress the following as well:

2 2003 DCs
1 MEMBER SERVER
2 DNS
2 WINS
2 DHCP

Any information would be helpful. Thanks

1st... why are you redoing your ip network?

its pretty straight forward when it comes to the giving the dcs new ip addresses. the exchange server can be a little tricky because you have to ensure the mx records and all the dns records change to reflect the new ip. You also need to ensure that dns records update for the 2 domain controllers because active directory can not replicate if there is dns conflicts.

When I first took this job there was a 192.168 network in my corp office. 75 of my remote locations have the 10.247 network. I was thinking it would be easier to change the 192 over to a 10. I am in the process of having Sprint install an MPLS network company wide.

I just wanted to make sure the readdress can be done, before I get started.

Are there any Documents out there to refer to? I just want to make sure this gets done right the first time. Thanks

So you set the route once on the router at the location with the 192.168 network and they all come through there?

I was unclear about my exchange server. I am moving my Exchange Server and a new DC to my Colo, which will need a 10.247 address.
