I applied the most recent IE6 update (KB824145) and since then, the behaviour of the scroll bar in both IE and OE has changed. When I click above or below the bar, instead of moving one screen up or down, as it always has in the past, it now moves relative to where the the pointer is on the scroll bar (i.e. if you click near the bottom of the scrollbar, the page will be moved to almost the bottom; if you click near the middle, the page will be moved to somewhere near the middle.) Has anyone else noticed this? Is there some way to restore the behaviour to what it was? Thanks!

Thanks, bcastner. I did not know DSLR stood for dslreports. I had in fact consulted that site when I was originally deciding on which DSL ISP to choose. I should visit it again.

The rest of my previous message directed at euston.

I did understand what you had said about Jerry Bryant and MS being aware of it. I am glad about that. I only hope that they come out ASAP with a fix to repair what they had broken with their previous fix.

Tahlig,

DSLR is a great site. Be sure when you click on the "Forums" tab that you also click on and Folders shown. For example, my Westell modem and my Linksys router both have incredible forums under the 'Hardware by Brand' iconic folder.

I have also found very specific and valuable advice under the ISP listings. For example, a specific modem used by an ISP is often found in use with others. If you need modem advice on Alcatel, Motorola, Linksys, D-Link, Westell, or others it is there.

MS does monitor forums on this site, and there are many MS MVPs as forum participants (although they usually do not identify themselves as such). DSLR is slightly unusual in that the MS forum participants deliberatly expose themselves as MS employees, and try to answer questions as best they can.

And, yes, if Jerry Bryant (MS) says that they are working on a fix, you will see one.
