Change icon in address bar

Hi!

I tried to change the icon which comes up with my url in the address bar, but it doesn't work.

I uploaded my icon tester.ico into my root folder

http://www.myname.com/

It sits now exactly where the index page sits and as far as I know that what all I had to do.
But it does not come up. Any ideas?

You need to put a bit of code in the HEAD of your index.html page.

Now the icon comes up on the favorite list and on the shortcut menu, but unfortunately not in the address bar...

It will appear (and stay) until you clear the browser cache, then you have to go back to the site at least twice before it will appear again. Just a little quirk of IE. Cheers,
