Change Hardware Identifier?

Hi,

Have a spare 3300 which Mitel wont buy back from us, I have managed to get it up and running, however, I want to use it as a test bed and simply restore a backup of our live 3300 system.

Is there a way which I can change the Hardware identifier of a 3300 so I can mimic the licences on our live environment?

Surely, we dont need to pay thousands just for testing purposes? What are the options

Your "Spare" 3300 is exactly that. Without licenses, it is but a mere doorstop, or potentially a treasure trove of spare parts.

In order to put an image of your running system on it, you will need to purchase as equal number of licenses as on your primary system, as well as purchase the software & register it with the AMC.

If the "spare" machine is not listed on your AMC account, you will be unable to do anything except salvage parts from it.

It has an account with the AMC which gives 85 IP Device licences.

Mitel do have test bed licences which retails for around £280 which gives you:

I wonder if they can append these licences to the licences already on the AMC

If you own a demo system and it's on your AMC account, I'm pretty sure you can put addt'l licenses on it. This is one of those times it'd be nice to have some extra licenses in your license bank and see if you could apply them.

Since licenses have no recurring charge once they're bought, we try to keep enough on hand to handle unexpected things. While it doesn't take long to get these added to your account, it still takes money, so back when we had some, we spent it on some reserve assets. It's saved our bacon a couple times.
