We have a Nortel CS1000E and have an extension that appears on numerous sets as a SCR. The problem sthat we are experiencing is that when one call has been answered and the line is busy, the second and third calls forward to our switchboard, which is causing all sorts of other issues.

I've received a few helpful replies. the problem that i am encountering is that when i receive the scr and then try to change it to an mcr, i get "SCH0369 - Conflicts with existing call arrangement"

Can anyone advise as to how to best proceed to change this to an MCR?

Easy as....

Delete all instances of the SCR, then recreate as MCR over the same sets.

Beware the MARP though, if relevant.

I had this same issue recently. Just like DFK said, remove all SCR then replace MCR. If one SCR is missed it will not work at all. MCR is setup like SCR, just with MCR instead. Good Luck!

..and to throw in an often missed/asked question.
If there is an analog phone in the SCR group, then remove the DN from it as well and then reprogram the analog phone with CLS = MCRA (Multiple Call Ringing Allowed).

thanks to each of you for your replies.

how do i remove the marp as it may be preventing this change? in addition, i have two 3901's sets as the primary for this extension. one was installed to prevent others from listening or interupting conversations and the other is the primary DN.

The MARP has to be set on 1 phone. For an MCR key I really don't see why it would matter which set has the MARP.

I found out the other day it does not matter what phone is MARP-ed as long as one is marp-ed
