Hi,

and once again I'm trying to find help here from the experts.

The ISDN line that our router is connected to with the ISDN interface has changed from PTMP to PTP. I thought that adding "isdn protocol-emulate network" to the config of the ISDN interface would take care of that, but it didn't. No inbound and no outbound calls, both give busy signal. Does somone maybe know anything else that I have to reconfigure on the router?

Thanks for any help,

Thomas Liss

Just found this on Cisco. I'm getting free line now.

Thanks anyway,

Thomas
--------------------------------------------------
In Germany (and possibly in other countries), local telephone companies offer an ISDN line called "Anlagenanschluss". This line, or very often a "hunt-group" of multiple lines (a group of lines with the same subscriber number), is intended for connecting only one ISDN device such as a private branch exchange (PBX).

To use these ISDN lines on a Cisco router, configure the isdn static-tei 0 interface configuration command on the BRI interface(s):

Router# configure terminal
Router(config)# interface bri 0
Router(config-if)# isdn static-tei 0
Warning: Interface must be cleared after reconfiguring the TEI.
Router(config-if)#
!--- do a shutdown and no shutdown to activate new TEI configuration
Router (config-if)# shutdown
Router (config-if)# no shutdown
