Got IPO500 v2 r8 with a 9630G phone. Initially brought phone up as x200, but now want to change the extension number. Can't seem to get the new extension to stick. Keeps going back to x200 no matter what I try. Tried extension renumber...doesn't stick. What am I missing??

You have to use the "logoff" function, it is under the Avaya button somewere.
If it isn't there then it is locked trough the 46xxsettings.txt.
Edit the text file and search for PROCSTAT and PROCPASSW.
Set it like below and reboot the phone to load the file.
PROCSTAT = 111
PROCPASSW = " "

When the phone reboots it will more than likely roll back to ext 200

On the phone, make sure you have all the IP information for that particular phone then:

Press
Mute
type in CRAFT
press #
scroll down to CLEAR
press START
then Clear again

Your phone will reboot with everything cleared (Including any IP information).
When the phone reboots, log in to the appropriate extension.

A CLEAR will erase all info stored in the phone including ip addresses, the logoff function is more approriate but if that fails the CLEAR option can be used instead.
