In Win XP home,how do I change the double click in the mouse to the single click?

You might look to see if there is a specific driver software, and control panel applet, for the specific mouse.

If the mouse is fairly generic, TweakUI from Microsoft, a freeware "PowerToy" has some nice features that you can use:

Actually, for XP, the single-click option is in Control Panel>FolderOptions>General..

Thanks a lot SESaskDFC. I just got my grandmother-in-laws new pc with XP up and couldn't figure out how to get the same feel that Win98 called Active Desktop. 'Preciate it much.
