Change DN without deregistering old DN

Hello all,

I have a BCM400, and I have setup a DN with some call forwarding, voice mail that works even when the phone is not connected to the BCM (keep DN alive option is checked).

I want to use that phone for a different DN but without deregistering the original DN so that call forwarding and voice mail continues to work.

Is that possible?

Yes ,just do a change DN.

I thought that this would also move all settings like call forwarding of the old DN. The old DN will stay as it is?

Mac addresss of phone is tied to your existing DN.

Just de-register it. When the set comes back up, just assign it a new DN. That's what the keep DN alive does for you. Your not deleting the DN, you're just unassigning from that set's MAC address.
