Change digital Line to analog

What do u mean? Change a digital extension to an analogue one? Well, first of all, u have to know what boards are for digital and analogue extension, ie, ELU 28 for digital and ELU 29 for analogue. Next is to inititate an analogue extension, EXTEI:dir=????,cat=?,equ=(BPOS of the individual).Make your question clear and I'll see if I can help.

In EMG you must delete the 1040 as extension on a digital board port.
I think you will find in on the extension menu / delete .
New window pops up and you just enter the extension number.
Deleting in EMG gui is easier than mml commands as there often is several other things to delete before the extension actually can be killed .
Next is to use extension initiate , and select a port on a analoqe board , and use the extension number 1040 that
now is freed from digital board port.
As for categories parameters just look at another analog
what to use .

Are you sure there is analoqe extension board
installed and do you know what board position to use .
Reinitiating the number as analoqe also requires
that the mdf connection at the pbx has to be patched to
new port .
It becomes rather difficult to guide you through
all this ,as site details is completly unknown to us
using the forum .

There is extension boards in the pbx .
One type is for digital phones and have 16 ports.
The other is for analoqe ,also 16 ports.
The boards is wired with a special prefabricated Ericsson cable to some kind of mdf , where it can be cross coupled against the phonejacks either with patch field/cables
or some other telecom equipment mdf-connector blocks
that use revolted wire and a special tool for coupling.
When you change a digital line to an analoqe the
line output og the extension comes out on another port
on the mdf , so some kind of work must be done each time
this is done . Presumed that there is both analog boards
installed and connected/wired to the mdf and that
port licenses for analoqe extensions exist in the system.
There is a cost is the boards that you also must concider.
If you must buy new analoge boards and have them installed and wired with mdf cables to the mdf , svitching to
analoqe phones is more than the cost of a telephone set.
There is also port licences that must reside in the pbx for
analoge ports .
Most pbx users use analoque ports as modem faxes
There is cheaper digital phones (the smallest ones without display).
Why don't you check all this out with your sales/service partner for your pbx system .
Alternative one:
Installing/buying analoge extension boards to cover
the amount of ports you need .
Buying port licences for analoge .
What to do with the connection/wiring/patching of
the lines when new is initiated (or moved from digital port) .
Alternative two:
Keep using digital ports and extend the amount of them
as needed , and new users get the "little" cheapest
digital phone sets .
