change colur of control in a multi-rec subform 1

maybe someone can help on that.

i have a multi-rec subform and would like to change
the status filed colur when status=x.
when i tried : me!status.backcolur = 255
status field was colured in all records ???

someone ...

In design view, click format, and conditional formatting.
This will allow you to set different fields to differnt colors while using continuous forms. I believe this is new in Access 2000.
