Change colour of a static text field?

Hi!

I have a dialog based program with some text fields in it. Some of them are static, others not because they receive text as a feedback from within the program.

- How can i simply change the background colour of a text field (static and not static)?

- how can i change the colour (and the font) of the text that will be displayed? I mean both the text before and after the feedback? Perhaps a different colour of both..?

Is this a link to a thread in the forums? Javascript doens't work properly on my PC i think :-(
