I'm probably overlooking something simple, but I've been unable to find the answer and hope someone can help.

I've got a Norstar phone system, and recently a number of phones became unplugged and lost their various settings.

I've managed to use the copy feature in the system configuration to get the phones working again. The issue now is - some of the phones have been assigned new extensions by the Norstar system, and the old extensions for those phone sets are ringing as inactive.

Is there a way we can re-program the set's extension, so that people have the same extensions they've had for years, rather then just accept the new extension the system has assigned? Or do they just have to get used to a new phone extension?

Thanks

You can change them back by doing one of the following, depending on your version. Hit show at the Configuration menu (it will come up with Trk/Line Data) and hit next until you get to System Data. Show that and it will prompt you for the Old DN and once entered it will ask for New DN.

If your version comes up with Terminals and Sets, hit next until you get to System Programming and show that. Then hit next until you get to Change DN`s. Show that and enter accordingly.

Under "System Programming" the second optionl is change DNs. Or under older programming you may find it under a:configuration->6.System Data->individual DN's. JerryReeve
