Hello again. We had a bunch of 40 E129 phone and we want to Upgrade all, like the 16xx models
(in that case we set up a freeware file server (HFS) and we point to a folder with the newest firmware; then we change the ip of file server and voila, the phones begin to upgrade to the latest release)

that's we want to achieve with the e129 phones. We point the phones "firmware server" and "config server" to the ip address of the hfs server and nothing happens. There's a way to upgrade all phones at same time?

the IP office is version 9.1.5, switch 3526, run ip office script on, and the phones end with the firmware 1.25.2.26
we prefer to get the latest firmware (1.25.2.34.)

Time to do some reading? It is well documented by Avaya and Grandstream.

After a good time reading manuals, I answer myself; yes you can upgrade to a more recent firmware than the one that brings the IP Office by default, only remembering to put the phone on “factory reset” mode, this will clear the cfg.xml offered by the phone. The phone will restart, and then we can put our TFTP server IP address.

The files must be in the folder pointed to our tftp server they are:

[ul]
[li]signatures folder[/li]
[li]cfg.xml (generic cfg.xml file)[/li]
[li]idle_screen.xml[/li]
[li]e129fw.bin[/li]
[/ul]

I hope this solution also helps people who are in doubt as to how to do this.
