I have been trying to install Ikonboard on my Apache server running on Windows 98. I finished with the installer script, and then went to log in. However, it keeps giving me errors, like "Boardinfo.cgi did not return a true value". I did some searching, and found that this problem was caused by not using chmod on some files. Since I'm using Windows, I can't chmod. (I want to switch to Linux soon.) Anyone have any ideas?

The error logs don't say anything. As far as Apache is concerned, the script is running fine.

I know, I was just wondering if anyone here had ever tried installing it with Apache, because I think it's a file permissions problem. Thanks anyway, though.

Hi mate,

You might take this the wrong way but this forum is for Apache problems only, no Ikonboard or whatever, that's what their support forums are for.

If you have a problem with the Apache config, then this is the right place to ask, otherwise, no, it's not the right place no matter how many people may or may not have had this problem before.

Hope this helps Wullie

Oh, no offense taken. I was just wondering if anyone would be familiar with setting up file permissions with Apache on Windows. I have verified that that is what the problem is.
