I have a call forward button set on my phone (2616) when I press that button I put in the number that I would like it to call forward to then I press call forward again and I get a fast busy. What is it that I am doing wrong to have this button call forward?

Are you trying to forward to an external number? If so, you need to have CFXA (call forward external allowed) in the CLS on your phone. You also need to see how many digits the actual call forward key has. Print the phone (if you need to know how to do that post back) and check the number next to CFW. Those are the first things to check.

That did it, thanks, sorry for all the questions the last couple of days I am just getting a crash course in the nortel.

You should know that CFXA can be a dangerous feature to use. I would give it out sparingly. I know you are going to ask why is it dangerous...

The reason is that people can call forward their phones to say their friends or relatives on the other side of the country and then go home and call their office phone and talk to the other party on the companies dime. If you do use CFXA, you may want to limit the call forward digits to 8. That way calls can only be forwarded to local numbers.
