hi ya all,
can someone tell me what is the deal with cfreprt and crystal reports files?
i mean, it is suppose to be strait forward: save fileName.rpt file in the same folder where cf template is and use:
<cfreport report="fileName.rpt"></cfreport>, right?

the error i am getting is:
The report file you have specified (fileName.rpt) either does not exist or is not accessible to the ColdFusion service. Please verify that the name of the report file is spelled correctly and that the file is located in a directory which is accessible to the ColdFusion service.

now, file is in the same folder, so path is OK; I have no problem viewing other cf templates in the same folder;

what is the deal here? what else am i suppose to do here in order to get some results? Sylvano

Use the exact path location of the file on the disk.

Ex. d:\reports\myreport.rpt

thanks for the reply, i have solved that even though in the instructions it is specificaly said that no full path is necessary, only report name with the report in the same folder, oh well...

but, here is the real problem that i still haven't solved. after template is run, i get this error message:

Error number 692 ocurred (Error in File C:\Inetpub\ Invalid export DLL or export format.).

Crystal Library = C:\WINNT\system32\CRPE32.DLL (1/28/2000 23:16)
DLL Version = 8.0, Engine Version = 8.0

i still have no solution for this problem; could it be that the error is generated because the report is v8.0 and cf server is 4.5? is it compatibility issue? in the crystal reports the option to make report compatible with v7.0 is checked...

i dunno...
any input or white paper on that subject is welcome
