hi, can someone recommend the best way to learn how to make changes to CFN and the CDB?

rtfm... unless you've got someone on site.. check with global knowledge, they offer online and in house training.. a search here would make a great start

and you need to be very carefull.. a change there can give you so many errors that you can't see the screen to type

thanks. i was a bit vague on my question. i'm fairly versed on the Switch and have been a Telecom admin for 8 years. it's just that despite everything i know, i've never delved much into CFN settings and the CDB. i've built hundreds of sets and fixed numerous problems on circuits, sets, etc., but i'm trying to teach myself some of the high level stuff.

trust me, i know how much harm can be done to any system by making the wrong choices, especially in the CDB.

maybe i can buy a CD or book from Global Knowledge. thanks John.

best bet is to read the aphabetical list of prompts in ld 15.. 99 percent of that would not need an explanation.. from your post, i didn't know if this was day one or year 20.. like to warn people about common files.. nothing is either ld is that hard
