I do a cfmail with cfmailparam tags attaching multiple files. The files attached that were created in Word or PDF open just fine when the email is forwarded. The one I create in html that I save and attach as "filename.doc" reads fine as long as it is not then forwarded to someone using Groupwise. If it is forwarded, its mime type is lost/not recognized or something.
I've looked at the MIMEATTACH option, but I don't see how that would affect a cfmailparam tag. Oh, and it seems to work when forwarded to anyone using Outlook, but not Groupwise (where they probably have Netscape as their browser).

does this only happen with files sent via cfmail? have you tried sending it to outlook and fwd it to groupwise manualy?

I can't imagine this being a cf problem then. either the way you created the file, the way word saved the html to a doc file, or any number of compatibility problems. I'm assuming it's a doc file so you're opening it in word after it gets to the groupwise inbox. have you tried saving it to the Hard drive outside of the email before opening it. groupwise my be running innerfearance. groupwise may be a coinsadance too... maybe virus protection or anything?

I'm saving html with a .doc extension. When they received it this last time, Groupwise (I assume) changed the name to filename.txt and then opened it showing raw html. So, I am assuming that their version of Groupwise is not accepting html messages. ???? (It's State government.)
Outlook and even my webmail account don't have any problems at all with it.

what happens if you save it as filename.txt not filename.doc
