Is there a way to either: 1)use Windows authentication for SQL server on a Novell network, OR 2)implement certificate services to encrypt usernames and passwords to connect to a SQL server (2000) on a Novell network. The only communication protocol being used is TCP/IP. The SQL server is running Windows 2000 Advanced Server. The clients are running Windows XP Professional and Novell Client for Windows. IPSEC does not seem to work, for whatever reason. Is there something I am overlooking here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a small group of users (maybe 4 or 5) that need to be authorized and encrypted on the SQL server. But yes, they are Novell users.
