Centura SQLBase 7.5.1 - Row Page Discussion

Hello -

What exactly is a row page?

What causes corrupt row page errors?

App I work with uses Centura SQLBase 7.5.1 - one company I work with has experienced repetitive corrupt row page incidents, even though the database server has been replaced. Hoping that an understanding of cause and effect can help me resolve this.

I do not work for Gupta/Centura, but here is my understanding of row pages from their tech support:

A row page is a block of space in the .DBS file that contains a set of database records. The method used to store rows in "row pages" is proprietery to Gupta, but it is related to the optimium storage solution of the database and not related to the logical flow of the database structure.

Can you post examples of the errors you are getting? That would help track down the problem?
