Error: -2147221163 - Column Info
Location: Main_DoAction

Anyone have an idea what this error is and how to resolve it?

First step is to delete the CVS_Cache.tmp file in the cache folder ( C:\Program Files\Avaya\CMS Supervisor R12\Cache ).

it's supervisor 9.0

cache file is already deleted

also software has been removed and reinstalled and pc is rebooted

other options?

gergje,

i've seen that error when there was no acces to the cms server. check its availability (ping) and access (telnet).

do i have to do this from the centrevu client supervisor pc

ping cms-ip-address?

if this doesn't work, then try telnet cms-ip-address?

or should i test this from the definity?

gergje,

yes. do this from supervisor pc. first ping, if it goes okay, then try telnet. centrevu supervisor connects to the server via telnet. if it works, then problem is not in network access but something else.

yeah it isn't in network then

pinging cms and telnetting to it from the supervisor pc works

already did:

remove software
reinstall software
reboot pc
delete cache

also checked ping/telnet

what else can be the problem?

gergje,

then it's a software issue. try deinstalling windows updates and/or antivirus software, like that.

it's installed on a clean pc and the issues started from scratch

any other ideas?

this error occurs during logging in

not specifically with reports

Just a suggestion... and I don't know that it will work, but remove CMS first, then go into the registry of the PC in question and remove all references to CMS supervisor. Search for CMS Supervisor. Becarefull when working with the registry as the potential to "jack" the pc exists. So backup any important information before attempting.

Also, could your install files be corrupted? Are you installing across a WAN/LAN? If so, try copying the install files locally to the PC then try installing the software.

Thanks,

Wildcard
