I have a Rls 7.5 Linux CS1000E. I log in with the admin id and password and click on patches. It comes up and tells me I don't have access to that role yet the admin role shows that it does have that access. Any ideas ??

Have you done any patching yet? The 3 base patches should go in first. The admin user by default has access to patch manager and I don't think you can take it away.

Yes I have done some patching. I have installed the 3 base patches and the service pak after that. I assumed the admin had access but it keeps telling I don't.

Have you deployed yet? Is this a new install, upgrade or what? Something that was working or never has worked?

Yes, this is deployed. New install.

Is this a CoRes install or do you have a vx works call processor?

Did you rename your SP with the .ntl file extension?

If this is a CoRes you will not use the Service Pack with the .ntl extension. You will need to download the cppl file for a CoRes

Linux Service Pack is the xxx.ntl !!!!
Only for the CS you have the deplist.cpl !!!

M1spezi is correct, you still do the SP on the CoRes. I just thought the cppl deplist might be causing you some grief. Maybe we got off track here a little. In your original post you said you couldn't even access patch manager. Is that still the case?

I can access patches in Base Manager which gives me access to service pack and individual patches and nothing else.

What other patches are you looking for? When you did the security configuration did you configure it as a deployment server?

Yes. I should have access to adding the deplist and or Loadware patchess.

The deplist and loadware patches are in Element Manager

I meant to say UCM, not Element manager. The base patches and SP would get put in under base manager and the Call Server deplist and Loadware should show up on the left side when you login to UCM,

That's just it, On the left sde in UCM under CS1000 services there is Patches. When I click on that it brings me to a page where it says I have no access to that resource yet I am logged in central single sign on with the admin access. It doesn't seem to matter how I log in.
