When a thumbnail is clicked on my page, I would like the larger photo to come up centered. By default it is on the right. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

There is a way to do it. When you create a thumbnail, it automatically links to the photo file itself and displays it Internet Explorer. In that format, there's no control over how IE displays it. But if you create an HTML page and put the photo on it, then you can control placement (and also use the HTML page for keywords and search engines).
