When I used Pagemaker 5.0 on Mac I hit control shift 0 for the degree sign and control shift $ for cent mark. I try that on Pagemaker 6.0 with a PC I get nothing. I've tried the help section and it was of no help.

I did find symbols for Trademark, etc. but not degree and cent signs.

Thanks

You can use the number pad and the alt key for many characters.

Alt 0176 = °
Alt 155 = ¢

there many others..... When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

You can also get a full list of the characters with a PageMaker template that is included with 6.5 and 7.0, I'm not sure if it's included in PM 6.0. The template is called charset.pmt. Do a search for it in your PM Extras folder and open it in PageMaker, then follow the instructions.

Thanks Bob, that helped a lot. You'd think the manual that came with the program would mention important things like that!

I checked under characters, symbols, etc. and no word of how to create them. I miss my Macintosh!
