Hello,
I have several spreadsheets in Excel that when printed there
are certain cells that will just not print. I cleared all formats and contents and retype in the cell but that does not work. The cells all around print. It is very strange.
If you copy and paste the worksheet it does not help.
I have to basically start a whole new worksheet from the beginning.
Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks!

do you have a print area defined that does not include where those cells are?

Yes, it is in my print area. The cells above and below it
print. Strange....

Does the workbook have any macros in it, ie do you get prompted to enable them when you open the workbook.

Regards
Ken..............

No, there are no macros. This is a spreadsheet I created to be copied and used by several people. It's actually just one person that is having the problem. I've tried different printers,no luck.

OK then be real specific...Does this one person use a personal copy of the file or does he/she share the file with the others?

Sorry about not being more specific. The user is using her own copy. People are opening this blank template (it's still an .xls file) and then doing a save as on their own directories ,filling out the form and printing it.
I have to mention though that I have also seen this problem on a spreadsheet that is being shared, not copied.
We have hundreds of spreadsheets here and I've only seen this problem on 2 or 3. It's just so fustrating to not understand why it does not print just one line or two.
OK, so now I have accessed her spreadsheet through my computer and was able to print it correctly. UGH! I'm going to reinstall her printer driver and see if that helps....

Print drivers don't usually pick on cells but it will be good to eliminate drivers from the equation.

Is there something special with that cell?

If you give the user your excel file, can he/she print it?

This might sound like a very bizarre question, but is it possible the cell IS printing, you just don't see it? The reason I ask is that I had a client once printing a spreadsheet where some cells had some conditional formatting, and just ONE cell, as you mention, was formatted in a color that his ink jet just happened to be low on, if not empty..he kept explaining to me over the phone about it, but when he sent it to me and I printed it on my laser, it all showed up....

Are the missing cells only in the last column of your set print area? If so, set your print area to include the next column to the right and see if that corrects the problem.

Well, I've checked everything that's been mentioned here
and none have applied. Strange, I did a copy paste onto a new worksheet again and today it worked. That really doesn't solve the problem and I would have liked to know what causes this but I'll take this for now. Thank you all for your time. If I ever figure it out, I'll let you know.:)

Yes those things do tend to bug ya big time but sometimes you win sometimes you loose.

much luck
