CE10 > BOEXI upgrade 1

Hi,

We only fairly recently upgraded to Enterprise 10 but I'm now considering the benefits of upgrading to Enterprise XI (we can get it as part of our mantainance agreement). The main thing for us is that we'd like to be able to use the dynamic prompts in Crystal Reports XI and - as far as I'm aware - you need Enterprise XI to be able to deploy Crystal XI reports.

Does anyone have any info on the ease of upgrading from CE10 to BOEXI, and whether there are many significant benefits, other than Reports XI deployment, over CE10? We'll only be using the Crystal, rather than BO, side of things for the forseeable future.

I recently took a couple companies through a 10 - XI upgrade. There are no issues that I encountered.

As far as the benefits, I think XI is just a better product from the end-users perspective. The interface is more like SI or Win Explorer and is more intuitive.

Even though you are not planning on the B.O. side, that is a significant benefit; having Universes and WebI available. They are great tools for Classic Crystal shops and I think you will enjoy them.
