Hi all,

I'm a newb to the Crystal Server world. I'm using the promo version that comes with the Professional XI edition of Crystal Reports, and running on a windows system. It's a local install, right on my machine, where the report designer is also installed.

I can log onto the CCM just fine, and can likewise use the repository features within the report designer. I can also use the publishing wizard to publish reports.

What I can't do is find the address I need to use to find the reports using Internet Explorer. The documentation says to use but I keep getting page not found problems. All the servers are running and enabled according to the CCM, and I can see an icon at the bottom right of my screen that indicates there is a SQL Server running.

Can anyone help me figure out the correct address??
Thx.

Hi,
Assuming a standard install, this should get you to the various start pages:
The best start page is the one that gives you many options:

If XI R1, then use enterprise11 not 115..

To get to the InfoView login page directly use:

The CMC is reached by:

same note if R1

Thanks Turkbear, but no luck...

Getting "page cannot be displayed" errors. Seems to me that what's likely going on is that I'm mis-naming my server.

It's a local install, so I assumed it would be either:
machinename
machinename:6400
localhost
localhost:6400

None of which worked... like I said it seems to be a SQL Server installation, but I don't seem to get anything useful by clicking the SQL Server icon... I get a little SQL Server Service Manager window, which doesn't tell me much.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
Be sure you have IIS running on yopur local machine..

What do you get with

( Web Port is 80, but IIS will use that by default so you need not specify it..Do not comnfuse the CMS's port with the Web Server )

Hi,
Under Services on the Control Panel, look for World Wide Web Publishing service..Should be running -if not, try starting it..

( This assumes you have it installed..If it is not in the list of services, you need to add it ..
( but, Crystal may not 'see' it in that case..you would have to manually create some virtual directories..Better to Uninstall CE, start IIS,reinstall CE)
