hi @ll ...
i have some problems with an report that i've created with cr 8.5. it work's fine when i execute the report in cr. but when i want to start the report in ce over our intranet, the programm want's an USER ID and a password. i've never given an user id or an password to the report, so that no one of our user id's and password are functionally.
has anyone of you an idea for this problem?

ps. sorry for my bad english ;-)

As I recall with Access reports and CE, it is always better to use the UNC path when mapping the location of the database. I believe in 8.5 there was a button under the Database Expert that allowed you to convert the mapped path to UNC. This allows the CE server to find the report without having to map the drive on that machine.

The second thing is to change the account the page server is running under. You need to use a domain account that has permissions to view that report file and database. You may also need to change the account for the Cache Server and the Job Server. The account can be changed through the CCM, by stoppoing the appropriate server, changing the account and password, and then restarting the service.

Hi,
How are users attempting to run the report.? EPortfolio or custom code?

The PagesServer or ReportJobServer cannot locate the MS Access DB. It sounds like you have it on a mapped drive. Change the logon properties of the Page or ReportJob Server to log on using a Domain level account instead of the System default logon. Make sure that you Domain account haves access to the MS Access DB.

Good luck!
