have a report that was working last month on the Server (cmc) using an ODBC connection to a sql server database. It no longer works, but I can run it on my desktop with the same file dsn.

i now get the error:
Server Used: server.report

Error Message: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. File C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Enterprise 9\Data\procSched\

any suggestions?

also, i have a file dsn using the cr oracle 7 driver that also does not work.
Any connections using the native oracle driver is working.

It sounds like your ODBC is mucked up.

You might try the service pack for whatever version of CE you're running:

Do you have CR installed on the server? If so, try running it from there. I always install CR on the server for these types of issues.

If nothing changed and it stopped working, it generally means corruption, more likely someone changed something though.

-k

results:
1. you were right about this one - someone changed the odbc from tcp/ip to named pipes
2. turns out the clients were 8.5 machines upgraded to 9 so the cr oracle7 drivers were already loaded on them. the server did not have the drivers loaded. i could not find the same version on the business objects website, only an older version.
