CE 8.0 Installation 1

Hi,
We are installing CE 8.0 (that came free with CR 8.5Pro)on our Webserver on the network.
Question 1. Do I just install CE 8.0 or do I also need to install CR 8.5 Pro on webserver?
Question 2. Can I put an icon on our webserver for CE 8.0 for users to access ePortfolio, or do I need to install CE8.0 on each desktop?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

You don't need to install CR8.5 on the server.

You can just give users a link to

http://server/crystal/enterprise/ePortfolio/

For best practice, it it always good to install CR on the CE server. It is the best way to t'shoot report errors. Ex. if report fails to sched, but you can refresh in CR on the same box, then you know that the prob is related to CE.

The client tools are accessed via the URL as stated by chrishaw Rod Oatis

If you opt to install CR on the CE server, you are required to have a separate license for that copy of CR. What a bummer, especially since CE has such crappy error messages.
