Hi All,

I have a report that accesses a stored proc. Within a Group in this report, I have a subreport. The sub report uses a Business View to access it's data. This all works well until I migrate the report and subreport to our production server. On our Production server, I can view the report and it's subreport in Crystal Developer as well as the Preview mode in Crystal Enterprise Admin. However, when the report is scheduled and run, and then viewed, I get the following error when drilling into the subreport : "Unable to retrieve object. Additional information is needed before this report can be processed". Is anyone else experiencing this or any other buggy issues with the Business Views ?

Could it be you need to set the DB user and password inside the Data Connection, and set it to "No Prompt"?

I've been looking into Business Views as part of my CR10 Instructor exams and they look great. I've had no problems working with them so far.

Nope. That option is not checked, and all is fine. I can go into Crystal Admin and "preview" this report. I can also go into Crystal Developer and run/view this report as well. The error I mentioned only occurs when I try to access a Cached report, meaning, a report that I ran, and then viewed in the History.

Also, in regards to CE Business Views .... I think they're a step in the right direction, but they're still quite teadious. It makes no sense to me why I wouldn't be able to create one generic business view, set filters off a value from a db table, and then all subsequent reports could "join" onto that Business View, thus, only having to set the filter values once. As it is now, I need to go and basically replicate the same filters for each and every report.
