We use CE 10 and generally the report menu comes right up without logging in, (we use the 5 freebies). I was attempting to deliver a report to a user via other means non CE thru crystal passage and crystal delivery when all the sudden after installing these my main CE 10 went down.

Now all I get is a blank login screen, restart the server nothing... only thing I have found is that in the CE management under servers I see 13 servers 6 green and 7 red with almost duplicate names (not sure what this looked like in the past honestly) they are listed below. I have no idea if this is where to start, delete those servers and try to get the old ones running.

Thanks

Hi,
Looks like whatever you installed messed things up ..
The Event viewer may give you some ideas about what happened.
First, using the CCM, stop all the services..
Start the Original CMS - if it goes to a running state, start the Original WCS..If it comes up as well then delete the other CMS and WCS--
Do this for each service ( especially the Input and Output
Pageserver and Cacheserver).

If this incremental approach does not work, then:
Delete all the existing servers ( except the original CMS -or if new, be sure it uses the same database as before)
and reboot the server - add the needed servers back in.
If you point the FRS input and output servers to the same location(s) as before, all your existing reports should be accessable .

I was able to remove and add the servers back however upon restart I am still unable to connect. If I try to preview a report in CMS an "Automation server can't create object" error appears.

Any other suggestions? In the CCM enable/disable server button I now have 17 severs listed all enabled.

Hi,
Seems like the CMS database has retained the obsolete data - only the new servers should show up in the CCM..

What shows in the CMC?

Try migrating to a new CMS database - sometimes only the active data is transferred..

Or, if all else fails, completly uninstall/reinstall CE - all current info will be lost, so republishing will be needed..
