CDRW \ Loss of stream errors

Another problem I have been having is that when I try to burn a CD at the max speed of the burner (4x)I get &quot;Loss of stream&quot; errors.&nbsp;&nbsp;No programs are running while I burn cds except for McAfee Virus Scan in the background.&nbsp;&nbsp;Even if I boot the computer up and then disable all programs I still get the error.&nbsp;&nbsp;However if I change to a 2x burn it will finish the cd (Eventually).&nbsp;&nbsp;when I got the burner I had no problems writing cds at 4x but as I look back the problem may have started after installing VShield.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any Ideas<br><br>Specs:&nbsp;&nbsp;AMD K6-2 400, 96Mg RAM, Running Windows 98 Burner Creative 4x2x24.<br><br>Osyris

Hi!<br>There are a few things you really need to do as a requirement for a successful burn of your CD's.&nbsp;&nbsp;First you must make sure that your Anivirus software is turned off prior to burning.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thats a must!&nbsp;&nbsp;Next make sure that only the things that are absolutely necessary are running in the background.&nbsp;&nbsp;You need to give your burning software all the RAM it needs to complete the task at hand.&nbsp;&nbsp;And the final thing is make sure your Hard Drive is defrag.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can get many tips and tricks at;<br><A HREF="
