We are currently using CDR Buffer Pollcat which uses a TTY port. We're planning to upgrade to an IP based CDR. Not sure how much programming do I need to do with our switch Opt81c to make it work through IP. Do I need to build a PTY?

You can either get a buffer such as a MDR2000E that has ethernet capability and collect from the tty port and then poll the data from the MDR or you can buffer in the PBX. DBA in ld 117

We actually use TM3.1 for our CDR. This seems to work fine but we have also used IP buffers as suggested by tnphoneman. The benefits of TM is that if you already have it the cost is zero to implement it!

Ansellrik,

I to use TM 3.1 and sounds like in your case, DBA would be your best bet.

I have the same problem. How do you setup DBA? I know you can enable it from L117. But I'm not sure whether you need to program a pty port and make some changes in the CDB.
