Opt. 11 - do not have a CDR reporting package at this site, but I need to get raw CDR information on one particular phone. We use individual dialing codes for dialing out LD as well. I have a printer attached to the TTY...

In this scenario, how can I get this individuals raw call log to either this printer or another output so I can view it?

PS - it's been a while, so I need the CDR for dummies version... LD XX, CHG XXX, etc. Thanks!

Mr. Poole, are you out there??? :) I really need a hand somebody! Thanks in advance...

You can dump CDR to any TTY port; however CDR gets turned on by the route for external calls, so any calls on that route will be in the CDR output. Internal CDR is controlled by set.

Hi Telecomlady, no, OTM isn't what I'm looking for; I have that on my other system and I need a quick solution for just this phone, but thank you for responding!

lretrievers, ok, so if I want to track outgoing external calls on this set, you're saying that we can output this to a TTY port, but that I would have to turn CDR on for each of the external routes that would handle these outgoing calls, correct? This would be fine... next question would be what steps to take to do this, and how would I set up the TTY; then how would I retrieve the data? Would it just print to the dotmatrix printer attached to the system now or do I need to set up something different?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

The problem is that you can't turn CDR on for one set for external calls. It is controlled by the route.

LD 15 in the CDR_DATA block is where you would turn on CDR.
LD 17 you would need to build a TTY with a user of CTY.
LD 16 to modify the routes.

You can send the data to the printer or any device attached to a TTY, but you will need to sift through all of the printouts to find the one extension. It might be better to dump it to a PC through ProComm and then into a file so you can do a "find" on the DN.

Also, without the CDR package I'm not sure how much info you're going to see anyway.

Ok lretrievers - that's what I'm looking for -- what steps do I need to go through to turn it on for these external routes (I'll pinpoint my international routes), then send dump it to a PC through ProComm into a file... That's exactly what I'm looking for... THANKS!!!

I've got a spare computer with ProCom, I know I need to set up another TTY port... just not sure what to do next lretrievers...

Get a list of your routes...
go to LD 16
REQ CHG
TYPE RDB
CUST [your customer number probably 0]
ROUT [your route number]
.
.
.
CDR YES
.
.

To set up the TTY port, it is a regular TTY port with the exception that the user is CTY.

Thanks guys - easy enough.. once I do that, how would I need to connect the pc and retrieve the data? Our switch isn't on the network, we use a direct cable or we modem in... there's on terminal in the phone room, and am guessing the computer could sit in there and would have ProComm running and saving to a data file somehow...

Option 11 has a 5 port cable in the 1st cab. Modem should be connected to port 0. you can connect to any unused port and progran in LD 17 for USER CTY. also add CDR YES in CDB and Port #

Sounds good -- and was I right that I would connect via Procomm and just let it run?

any idea what kind of connection it will be? is it just a LAN cable from a ethernet card? Thanks for all your help -- going to work on getting the pc ready this afternoon and get it set up in the morning if all goes well... fun, fun!

Oceannative you could do an enhanced trace in LD 80 i think this would give you all the information you are looking for

In LD 80 you can ENTC L S C U T where L S C U is the TN and T is the time for how long you want to keep this feature activated. Look in the NTP's for a better explanation. This will send trace information every time that TN goes off-hook.
